  • IF FOREIGN EXCHANGE BUY/SELL TRANSACTIONS ARE CONDUCTED OUTSIDE THESE CASES, PLEASE REPORT IT THROUGH THE PRESIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION CENTRE (CIMER) AT (www.cimer.gov.tr).
  • IF FOREIGN EXCHANGE BUY/SELL TRANSACTIONS ARE CONDUCTED INDEPENDENTLY OF PROVIDING PAYMENT SERVICES AND ISSUING ELECTRONIC MONEY, AN ADMINISTRATIVE FINE OF 719,000 TL TO 3,595,000 TL* IS APPLIED UNDER LAW No. 1567.

* This amount is adjusted at the start of each calendar year under Article 17/7 of the Law on Misdemeanours no. 5326, at the revaluation rate determined under the additional Article 298 of the Tax Procedure Law no. 213 dated 4 January 1961.

Complaint and Dispute Resolution

Under Law no. 6493 on Payment and Securities Settlement Systems, Payment Services and Electronic Money Institutions, you may file individual complaints regarding our payment services — those not related to your commercial activities — with our institution within 2 years from the date of the transaction.

If you receive a negative response, or no response within 20 days from the date of your application, you may apply within 60 days of receiving the negative response or the expiry of the response period to the Individual Arbitration Committee of the Türkiye Payment and Electronic Money Institutions Association. Declaration Obligation

Under Article 15 of Law no. 5549 on the Prevention of Laundering of Proceeds of Crime, for transactions requiring identity verification, if you are acting on behalf of someone else under your own name, you must declare in writing on whose behalf you are acting before completing the transaction. The article provides for a prison sentence of six months to one year or a judicial fine of up to five thousand days for those who fail to make such a declaration.
